Dr. Zuri Tau

 
 
 

Dr. Zuri Tau has over 15 years of experience in advancing social justice through advocacy, activism, and research and is committed to advancing racial and gender justice globally.

As a sociologist, licensed mental health professional, and yoga teacher, she leads by centering collective care, healthy boundaries, and liberatory theory and praxis. She is the founder of Social Insights Research and LiberatoryResearch.com, an initiative to co-create a space to amplify BIPOC perspectives and advance liberation in research and evaluation. Dr. Tau has contributed to numerous books and publications on leadership, ethics, and facilitation such as Holding Change by adrienne maree brown, the Calling In and Up movement leader pedagogy, and is the former managing editor of the academic journal, City and Community.  

On any given weekend, she can be found in her beloved city of Atlanta cultivating a passion for rock climbing with the children in her life, watering too many plants, or reading books for fun.
